As I prepare to celebrate her she must also be connecting me to Auntie and you to feel the "circle of love" that we all shared! As Mothers they shared a lot and leaned on each other - at times helping each other with the responsibility of caring for you and I. We both were the youngest (you by default as you were the only) and their babies forever. I feel them both smiling down on us and reminding us how much they are still with us! Although we are an ocean apart, and even more distanced by no visit this year due to covid, we will forever stay connected to each other and our Moms who were sisters-in-love, friends and "partners in crime." Aunt Movis was just reminiscing about the time my Mother came to Harrisburg by herself (my Dad was stationed in CA). Aunt Movis and your Mother took my Mother out - got her hair cut and took her to a fair and a bar! It sounds like they had loads of fun!! I continue to reflect on these beautiful memories of both of them - our Mother Angels in Heaven. Sending you and your family lots of love, Cuz! That's a sign that a person made a huge positive impact on your life when you can think of so many happy times rather than the sadness of their passing. I pray for us both Cuz that we will continue to be comforted by the love of our Mothers for they are invisible now but so so woven into our hearts. Grateful that we have each other. ❤️UAndrea Nolleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02008992135608879185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1733055727818619868.post-12301662201431036402015-06-08T09:59:24.442+02:002015-06-08T09:59:24.442+02:00Thank you Rosetta and my dear cousin Andrea for yo...Thank you Rosetta and my dear cousin Andrea for your comforting words. They are much appreciated and just what I needed when I read them last night; a Sunday night where I would usually call my mother.

GeorgeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1733055727818619868.post-68057192787950991252015-06-06T07:44:18.761+02:002015-06-06T07:44:18.761+02:00Wonderfully written, George. You've captured the dignity of it, the power of faith and the strength of the mother-son bond well. Thank you for sharing.

//Gary, who came to California from Stockholm last weekend on 3.5 hours' notice, only to miss the passing of my step-father by 4 hours. Cuz, you were definitely the apple of her eye. She had so much love to give - often responding "I love you more". She was there for me after my Mom passed in 2013. I considered her my 2nd Mom. Our souls connected so well. Her love was truly a gift. I will miss her immensely, along with my Mother. Now I have two Mother Angels.
Love,
AndreaAndrea Nolleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02008992135608879185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1733055727818619868.post-20439592711643630032015-06-03T03:22:16.510+02:002015-06-03T03:22:16.510+02:00Hello George, we haven't met but I had the ple...Hello George, we haven't met but I had the pleasure of meeting your mom on a few occasions. She is a beautiful spirit and soul and an attractive woman to boot. I am very good friends with Andrea and Delmar as well.
Yes, this is the hardest thing. No-one on earth is more connected with a person than their mother. I believe it's the natural and physical connection of birth.
Your tribute reminds me of my mom who passed 2 months before Andrea's mom in 2013. Time doesn't seem to heal but it does remind us of the wonderful person you still have because she lives all through you. After all you said, she's the reason you are who you are today. My prayer for you is that God give you as much Grace to continue living your life as the Grace He gave your mother to move into eternity with Him.
Be blessed and be a blessing,
Rosetta Thompson Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08455415534236849116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1733055727818619868.post-43524335195753323422015-06-03T02:11:23.128+02:002015-06-03T02:11:23.128+02:00Hello George, we haven't met but I had the ple...Hello George, we haven't met but I had the pleasure of meeting your mom on a few occasions.
